Rob Holmes, Founder & President
Rob is responsible for overseeing the overall strategic direction of Green Living Project, along with supervising sales, marketing, and business development opportunities. Rob has a unique and diverse background in media production, responsible tourism, international conservation, and business startups. He also knows first-hand how to successfully build, promote, and sell businesses to corporate partners, media, and consumers. Rob brings over 18 years’ experience within the outdoor retail and travel industries with companies such as R.E.I., E.M.S., and Trails.com. As co-owner of Trails.com, Rob helped build, manage, and sell the company while becoming the #1 outdoor and adventure travel website in 2006. Rob has also worked and consulted with over 20 leading international conservation organizations, including The Nature Conservancy, International Snow Leopard Trust, Appalachian Mountain Club, and Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo. Lastly, Rob is a well-known photojournalist and adventure traveler with over 200 multi-media presentations on expeditions to over 70 countries. He received a BA in Environmental Biology & Wildlife Management from Hobart College in 1992 and an MBA in International Business, Environmental Management, & Marketing from University of Washington in 1999.
Kip Schultz, SVP Business Development
Kip is responsible for overseeing business development and sales opportunities and developing go to market strategies at the highest levels. With a diverse background in consumer products, IT and consulting, Kip brings a big-picture sensibility to bear on the needs of sponsors and partners interested in working with the Green Living Project. With over 19 years’ experience within the outdoor retail and wholesale marketplaces Kip has built several companies from the ground up. Most notably Dakini, Inc which he co-founded in 1992. As CEO Kip built Dakini into an international brand with distribution in all 50 states, 5 foreign countries and 3 corporate owned retail stores. He received a BS in Business Administration from The Whittemore School of Business at the University of New Hampshire in 1987.
Matt Weatherly, Production Supervisor
Matt is responsible for supervising all video editing and post-production for Green Living Project, along with creating design elements to support each video and supplement the website. He carefully crafts each story to maximize the impact of environmental sustainability and community development while maintaining a fluid pace that naturally showcases the project at hand. Matt has been fully involved in film and video production for over 10 years. He possesses a multitude of skills within the field including videography, multimedia production, graphic design, and web development. Throughout his career, he has developed a wide range of projects including short films, music videos, commercials, and television shows. Most notably, he has been an integral part of an independent film organization that is currently in production of their tenth feature length film. The award-winning group, Old School Pictures, continues to receive recognition at film festivals and events around the nation. Matt received a BA in Communications, with a concentration in Film and Video Production from the University of Memphis in 2003.
Jennifer Chesterman, Marketing Manager
Jen is responsible for managing and supervising grass roots event marketing efforts, namely identifying and building key relationships with ideal partners for Green Living Project’s Event Series. Jen brings a strong background in sales and marketing – primarily in the adventure and educational travel niches – to the team, and has been working with a diverse catalog of event partners to introduce the many projects that GLP has documented to the masses here in the US. Over the past twelve years Jen has served as Sales Director at the Educational Travel Alliance and as Business Development Manager at European Incoming Services, and brings with her a wide network of key contacts and a passion of bringing enriching educational experiences through travel. Jen received a BA from Boston University in 1997.
Rich Smith, Audio Supervisor
Rich is responsible for the music and sound component of Green Living Project’s videos. He is a performer, composer, music producer, audio engineer, and has enchanted audiences with his impressive piano and vocal performances since the age of 6. With a passionate and effortless improvisational style, Rich’s performances and CD’s have received critical acclaim worldwide. His love for nature and the environment has inspired many of his musical compositions. “The Giant Forest”, one of Rich’s CD’s, glorified and personified Sequoia trees and parts of their ecosystem like water, fire, a chipmunk and a hawk. Rich’s music has been featured in film, television, radio, theater, and has graced such clients as the Producers Guild of America, Premiere Radio Networks, and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Josh Lampe, Graphic Designer
Josh is responsible for Green Living Project’s, graphic design, branding and multi-platform communication efforts. He has worked as a designer for more than 14 years. From Men’s Health and Backpacker magazines to Universities and Hospitals, Josh’s award-winning designs have helped Corporations and Non-Profits develop strong brands, imaginative campaigns and stunning presentations. Josh’s entrepreneurial spirit and imagination drives him to consistently push boundaries while keeping message and marketing strategy at the forefront. A singer and songwriter, Josh works hard to balance work life while recording and playing music as much as possible. Josh received a bachelor’s degree in Integrative Arts from Pennsylvania State University in 1999.
