Elisabeth Guilbaud-Cox – Officer-in-Charge, UNEP Regional Office for North America
Elisabeth Guilbaud-Cox joined the United Nations Environment Programme’s Regional Office in 2007 with responsibility for enhancing the organization’s visibility in the region. In addition to her media outreach work, she promotes collaboration between UNEP and the Governments of Canada and the United States, as well as with the private sector and environmental and academic institutions. Before coming to Washington, she was at UNEP’s Headquarters in Nairobi where she showcased the organization’s work around the world through the coordination of global media and outreach events.

Sam Ullery – Schoolyard Greening Committee Co-Chair, Office of the State Superintendent of Education
Sam Ullery is the School Garden Specialist at the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE). His primary responsibility is to provide technical support and manage district-funded school garden grants aimed to increase the capacity of DC school garden programs. Prior to his position with OSSE, Sam was an Environmental and Earth Science teacher at Thurgood Marshall Academy in Southeast DC.
