Project Overview

Gorilla Organization’s Mission is to secure the survival of the world’s last remaining gorillas whereever they naturally occur by promoting long term poverty alleviation and environmental education projects in the poor communities around the gorilla habitats, providing viable alternatives to the unsustainable use of forest resources and involving communities in conservation initiatives.

  • Rainwater catchement
  • Primary school Wildlife Clubs that promote conservation education
  • Organic farming education
  • Modernization of traditional beekeeping practices
  • Capacity building for traditional forest dwelling communities marginalized and displaced by establishment of national parks.
