Potters for Peace

Project Overview

Potters for Peace (PFP) is an exciting organization that demonstrates how artisans working with other artisans can change people’s lives for the better. The organization started out working with women potters in Nicaragua to help them improve and market their work, a project that continues today. After the devastation of Hurricane Mitch in 1998, PFP began a second sphere of operations: producing a ceramic water filter that offers an inexpensive yet effective method of providing clean drinking water at the household level. Thanks to this simple solution, people around the world now have a chance to lead healthier, more successful loves.
