ACA - CICRA Research Station

Project Overview

For the first time ever, tourists can now stay at the Los Amigos Biological Research Station, tracking jaguars and other exotic animals right alongside scientists working at the station. The Los Amigos station sits on 160,000 hectares of land surrounded by even larger preserves that attract some of the rarest animals who, much like the tourists, come to this place to get away. The researchers are also working to protect the area by bringing the local community to Los Amigos – helping locals and new migrants to the area understand the importance of rainforest conservation. Bird watchers, insect enthusiasts, and nature lovers will all find paradise here amongst the density of living creatures.
